The Prague-based development company Eube is planning to build and sell 300 flats in Hradec Králové by 2007. In the first phase of the scheme, scheduled to begin this year, it should build 66 units by the end of 2005.A housing estate is to be built in the fall not far from Teplice on a 30 hectare piece of land in Modlany. In a project designed by Katema, 287 dwellings are to be built, providing housing for up to 2500 people. An industrial zone is supposed to be built right next to this new housing project.
Most has announced a tender for the construction of a ten construction jobs worth roughly Kč 90 million. It’s also requests for funds from subsidy programs controlled by various ministries and the Ústí region, but the requirement for making PROINVEST investments up front until the end of the year is proving problematic. The Střelnice nad rybníkem Jordán cultural center in Tábor is to begin functioning again within two years, having been unused for the past 20. The city assembly there has announced that the winner of a tender to sell the 19th century, protected building was the Dvořák company. The city will contribute roughly Kč 22 million of the Kč 100 million necessary needed for repairs.
Bosch Diesel is planning to build a new production line in Jihlava-Pávová. The plan is connected to the company's current facility and involves roughly nine hectares of land. It's the biggest company in the region, employing 4600 people, a figure that would rise by 2500 once the project is completed. Production in the new space could begin in the first quarter of next year.
Pardubice's assembly is considering the possibility of building apartments in the attics of existing buildings. They would be conceived as 'starter' flats for young families. "We've identified attic spaces in buildings that were exempted from privatization and plans for the construction have been drawn up. This could result in the creation of 20 new units."
