The organizers of CEDEP would like to welcome Quinlan Private Golub as sponsors of the conference. This internationally recognized developer is presently building Forum Gliwice, a €75 million project in southern Poland due for completion in 2007. The 46,000 sqm scheme will feature 140 shops, restaurants, a Carrefour market and a 15 screen Cinema City. Quinlan Private Golub, is partnering with Braaten+Pedersen in Gliwice.

Registration for CEDEP 2006 is now in full swing, as the event is now just weeks away. To take place at the Marriott Hotel in Warsaw from February 21-23, the new conference format has been driving a great deal of interest from participants and sponsors alike. The most important additions to the CEDEP this year are the inclusion of important facility management topics such as benchmarking in the auditing process, the implementation of outsourcing services and civil liability issues.

Poland’s economic situation and its near-term future will be discussed in order to help gauge the likely impact on the country’s property markets. For the first time, CEDEP will tackle the issue of corruption and transparency in the development process, followed by a look at planning procedures in Warsaw and problems faced by both developers and city officials. The formats for these discussions will vary from panel discussions and seminars to classic lectures. Another new item will be project presentations highlighting schemes that are going on today around Poland.

Along with this stream of information and discussion, participants are provided with ample time to mingle and meet, since networking is a crucial component of the event. Besides meals and coffee breaks, there will also be the highly enjoyable opening Gala Party to start CEDEP off. The party this year takes place at Champions Sports Bar Restaurant February 21 beginning at 7 pm.
