After graduating at the faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Budapest in 1996, János started to work for Erick van Egeraat associated architects in Budapest. Between 1997 and 1999 he worked in the main office of EEA in Rotterdam. As project architect of the company he delivered projects in Prague and in Budapest. He led EEA's Budapest office between 1999 and 2005 as associate director of EEA. In 2005 János Tiba founded TIBA Architects Studio, where he now works with 9 architects for international clients.

János Tiba contributed to several acknowledged projects in the last few years: ING Headquarters offices in Budapest, the refurbishment of Deák Palace offices, MeZZ Poppodium in Breda, or the Villa Bianca residential complex in Prague. There are many other projects he took part in, houses around Budapest, design of apartment blocks.

He is currently working on the refurbishment of the Paris Department Store a winery in Csobánc and the master planning of Dunapark II urban development.
