Between 1974 and 1990 Pál Baross worked for the Dutch Institute of Housing and Urban Development in different countries in Europe, Asia and South America, primarily as the commercial and economic expert in city restoration projects. He returned to Hungary in 1991 when he established Kolpron (today ECORYS) Consultancy firm. From 1995 he was a consultant at ING Real Estate Development, becoming country manager in 1999. In 2006 he was invited to establish a real estate specialization for the MBA program at Central European University, where he now teaches a course in real estate development and investment.
